I started using Fusion about a year and a half ago. The FT-70D was my first. A local ham ended up with an extra FT2D and I purchased one of his.

Dec 16, 2018 · I also found that the battery indicator shows level worse than it really is. Yaesu or a 3rd-party battery supplier could easily double the battery thickness and yet retain a reasonably slim profile and remain comfortable in the hand. If Yaesu doesn't do it, someone else will -- probably on eBay. Necessity is still the mother of invention.

Dec 16, 2018 · My Yaesu FT7800R has a similar procedure with powerdown/button press to enter programming mode, so this part I'm used to. So - it seems unnecessary to have to remove the battery to engage programming - unless powering off the radio doesn't fully remove all voltage from the board which might explain battery drain when the radio is off.

May 28, 2022 · Short hike to a a local summit (Little Mtn W7W/SK-173), and tried out the Icom V86 for the first time. I've used the Yaesu FT70 and FT3D for the last few years, and wanted to try out a quality lower priced HT for SOTA. Like that it is 7w, quality build, with long battery life.

Quitas este disco y puedes ver una resistencia SMD en el centro - hay que quitar esta y "reset" la radio. Pero ten cuidado - yo nunca lo he hecho con un FT1... Also, most of these radios have now been discontinued except for the Yaesu FT-991 and Icom IC-7100.
