Sep 29, 2021 · For $257 you can get the same thing from Icom (IC-2730A) and for $294 you can get a 50 watt, dual band, analog AND digital Yaesu with Fusion (FTM-100DR). PASS! I love and have a bunch of Yaesu's, but honestly, this is a no go for me, assuming my FTM-100DR in my shack or my FTM-400DR in my truck or my FTM-2750DR in my ammo can, goes bad.

Sep 29, 2021 · It seems Yaesu can't kill off the FT-60 HT; it has been a popular radio for ages, not because it's fancy (it isn't), but because it gives solid dual-band analog FM performance in an easy-to-use package at a reasonable price. The FT-7900 had essentially the FT-60 feature set, except packaged as a mobile, with a more powerful PA.

Sep 14, 2019 · Today I get to review the newest Dual Band Yaesu Fusion Mobile Radio from Yaesu, the FTM-7250. This is more of a lower-end, consumer grade radio, at least as far as price goes. They cut some of the features from their previous dual band mobile radios to lower the price, but the features of this one are still great.

Aug 5, 2021 · Looked at both got 991A, vhf and uhf, better audio receive better DNR, didn't buy them for the display, Used to Yaesu menu's ( also having FT847 with Collins filters, FT2000=D, and FT100.) Easy setup for digital modes, C4FM, working good on HF and 2/70.

Oct 20, 2019 · When I connect my Ed Fong J-Pole on top of a 24' painter's pole to my Elecraft KX3, putting out about 2-1/2 W, I'm heard quite clearly by hams in my community who can't hear me at all when putting out 50W from my car mounted antenna driven by my Yaesu FT-7900. This is on the same frequency at the same location.
