Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ is Al-Haseeb (in Arabic: ٱلْحَسِيبُ). He is The One who takes account of all actions and reckons them on the day of judgment. There is nothing that goes unnoticed, however small. Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ is the one who will take account of everything and will hold each person accountable.

For protection against the evil of enemies, thieves and neighbors, recite Ya Haseebu 70 times before sleeping for 7 days (starting from Thursday night). Also recite (حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل) frequently throughout the day during this amal .

What is the meaning of Allah’s name al-Haseeb (the Reckoner, the Bringer to Account)? Praise be to Allah. Al-Haseeb is the One who is Sufficient. He is Sufficient for those who put their trust in Him, and He is Sufficient and does not need witnesses. “Certainly, Allah is Ever a Careful Account Taker of all things”

Its meaning may also be understood as the One Who provides sufficiently, Who grants whatever His servants need; He is the Master on Whom all rely; there is no haseeb besides Him, and all His creation are in need of His help and support.

Haseeb and Haasib come from the root haa-seen-baa, which points out to three main meanings. The first meaning is reckoning, counting, and calculating. The second main meaning of this root is to give without sparing and to give without the receiver’s expectation. The third is to suffice, to be sufficient, or to be without measure.
