Xu Wang is an associate professor in the School of Molecular Sciences. His research interests are in studies of biophysical and biochemical mechanisms of cellular processes, especially those involving complex carbohydrates.

We conduct research at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction, Learning Sciences and Artificial Intelligence. Our goal is to help people gain knowledge and acquire skills more easily and efficiently. We develop techniques that support and optimize human learning. We also answer fundamental questions on how humans learn.

My research is to support more people learn in effective ways. I draw techniques and theories from Human-Computer Interaction, Learning Sciences, and Artificial Intelligence to develop computational methods and systems to support scalable teaching and learning.
