I think that was just a part of it. At Twitchcon, XQC went to a Fortnite party, and met a bunch of other Fortnite streamers throughout the weekend. XQC might be playing Fortnite just to see what its like to be part of the Fortnite streaming sphere. He already got to stream with Tfue, something that wouldnt have happened without playing Fortnite.
