Dec 5, 2012 · As I said before: i've listed all library-files on my HD (there are 406) and there is no xpcom.dll though it has been installed with initial installation (as the protocol from 2010 says) but it must have been deleted with an update?

Jul 16, 2013 · After restarting etc, whenever I tried to start Firefox, I got "Couldn't load XPCOM" and no browser. Also my Windows appearance and colors and sizing were all messed up.

Jun 7, 2016 · I noticed an unfamiliar icon on my desktop so I restored my computer to last restore point. Afterwards, when trying to open a Firefox window, I received the "Couldn't load XPCOM" message. I rebooted but still received the same message. So I did an UNDO on the restore and Firefox is working fine again.

Original title: couldn't load XPCOM I am getting the message "couldn't load XPCOM" on several applications and they won't launch. Could not find anything on this help site about it.

Oct 16, 2018 · I'm not sure which update was the cause, but I am getting the can't load xpcom error. I tried installing a newer version of dropbox and it wouldn't install becuase of the same error.

Nov 4, 2014 · I am receiving a "couldn't load XPCOM" error. I know that I can reinstall Firefox but when I went to do that it erased all of my bookmarks so I did a system restore.
