The United States continued development of the MBT-70 (spun off as the XM803) until 1971 when the program was finally cancelled, with funds and technology from the MBT-70 project redirected to the development of the M1 Abrams.

The Tank, Combat, Full-Tracked, 152 mm Gun/Launcher XM-803, developed from the MBT-70, was part of the abandoned collaborative U.S. and West German initiative to develop a new main battle tank to replace the existing M60 family of MBT during the 1960s.

MBT-70 has a better team composition, and doesn't have to face Abrams in RB or the american Helis, which is nice. XM803 is the worst of the bunch, not only having substantially weaker engine, but no 20mm autocannon and only one smoke charge.

May 10, 2022 · XM803/MBT70/KPZ70's schtick isn't armour. They offer 11.3 mobility at 9.7 and limited anti helo capbilities. Load like a million missiles and a few darts for shit with ERA and play them like TD/LTs. you can even adjust their suspension.
