May 3, 2011 · I currently have an XDm 40 and an XDm 9mm Compact. The slides swap between the two frames perfectly. I am curious if anybody has tried swapping the XDm 45 slide or frame with an XDm 40 or 9mm slide or frame.

Feb 13, 2011 · I believe the black slides are carbon steel if that is what you have. I did remove the coating on the flat sides of my xdm to give it the brush steel look. It has not shown any signs of rust yet, and its been at least 3 weeks.

Jul 27, 2014 · Any XDm slide will work with any XDm frame. Same with the XD line. Although the XD line will not interchange with the XDm line. I have personally seen a friend put a 4.5 XDm slide on a 3.8 compact frame and it cycled just fine.
