Jul 12, 2022 · I got my xr400 a year ago and went thru the whole process of looking for the best way to lower it. My advise is to shave the seat foam down and find a good suspension shop that knows how to lower it without ruining the handling.

Sep 26, 2002 · Is there a way to lower a XR 400 (legs to short) You could send your suspension in and they can lower it for you. You will lose two inches of travel and it will be pretty expensive. How tall are you? I am 5'6" and ride my dads XR4 with no probs. Good luck with lowering it.
