Mar 31, 2024 · The BPT XM25 stock liner was expertly bedded by Forceman in MarineTex. Not really shown here, but Mitch Mateiko surface grinded the back of the receiver legs (at the 3 degree angle) to ensure that both receiver legs have at least 90 percent contact with the BPT XM25 stock liner. I am grateful that he did that before he retired.

Sep 13, 2017 · Original XM25 optics (day scope): 1. Leupold M3A Ultra 10x scope (made from approxmid-to-late 1980s until early 1990s). The early/prototype XM25 probably used the original Leupold M3 scope, but the only difference is the M3A had 1/2" windage adjustments, and the M3 from the mid-1980s had 1" windage adjustments.

Aug 22, 2019 · The picture from 1991 of a suppressed XM25 does indeed have the bipod set back somewhat, and its pretty clear that a bipod stud is likely located at the front sling swivel area. (BTW, that is not Ron Allen of suppressor fame in the picture, its a Navy/Crane small arms engineer who visited Ft Devens to evaluate the XM25 circa Feb 1991).

There might be a few floating around, due to Mr. Matieko coming out of retirement to build twenty or so. It might be that someone who bought one has decided not to pursue building an XM25. I decided to pass and commission a build thru Wolfe, because of the civilian feature. May be helpful to find the auction, still on my watch list so accessible, for the pics.
