Jan 9, 2022 · I have an XD-45 cal compact and It is now for the third time, back to Springfield. Candidly I find this handgun totally unreliable . For training it is great to practice type 3 failures. In real life -No! First time about 2 years ago, I failure to extract or feed / a stovepipe. the repair was weak magazine springs.

Sep 20, 2007 · I've had HK .45's in the full-size and compact model; when I went to get my XD .45 compact earlier in the week, the store had a pristine condition .45 USP compact for $799. If it's still there next Friday when I get paid again, it will be put on layaway. I love my XD .45, with its 10-13 rounds, vs. the 8+1 of the USPc, but I just love HK's!

Feb 23, 2015 · I love my XD .45 Compact. I even prefer it over the XDm in 45. But my son recently purchased a XD Mod 2 45 Sub-Compact. And I am jealous. I want one of these. The Mod 2 is an improvement. I thought the Mod 2 felt better in the hand and the "grip zone" treatment really works to keep the gun firmly held in the hand.

Apr 26, 2010 · I have had been testing Silencerco's Osprey suppressor on both a 9mm and .45 XD for close to a year. Both XDs were set up for a suppressor by Springfield's Custom Shop for articles for Combat Handguns. Dave and company installed extended and threaded barrels and also did sight and trigger work on both guns.

Feb 11, 2008 · I chose a 5"XD Tacticle over a Glock for the fallowing reasons: #1-Grip safety on XD, and XD is overall a safer gun by design than a Glock in terms of preventing accidental DGs caused by clothing entering into the trigger gaurd #2-Hands down to ME the XD felt like it "melted" into my hand compaired to the Glock. The Glock felt only "OK" in my hand.
