Sep 17, 2020 · I'm very excited to show off the new X06 from KST. This has been in the works for around 3 years or so (with a break in between). Full metal construction typical of KST, with a 7mm profile and around 6.5 grams, this is perfect for 1m models and for tails on some 1.5m models. If you're thinking of a 4-servo wing, this is it.

Aug 3, 2023 · Has anyone tested how low a voltage the x06 servos can handle? I have a lithium ion cell in my dlg and my alarm threshold for 1s lipo is set at 3.6v This li-ion cell has still over 60% capacity left I think at 3.6v. Data sheet for x06 states min voltage 3.8v , that worries me a bit

Feb 24, 2022 · The new X06 centering and accuracy are much much better than the previous version (let's call it V1), but regardless of that, the X06 is not a good choice for a 2 servo wing, they are much more delicate and more flexible than the X08 (they have smaller diameter gears, and only 1 ball bearing in the shaft).

Aug 3, 2023 · On my bench, I happen to have a pair of new X06 v6 as well as a pair of v5 that have been in a plane for a couple of years. Checking them, they all (both old and new pairs) have a slight but noticeable click of backlash, even when powered on. My exaggerated 110mm test arm wiggles about 2mm at the end.

Oct 20, 2020 · The X06 horns are actually a bit smaller and shorter, it's easy to not see the difference unless put side by side. On a side note, x06's were replenished today, and the new x06H and X06N's are now in stock.

Aug 3, 2023 · That said, I did encounter a X06 with a compound gear with an incredibly poor press fit between the two parts. I only learned of the problem when the gear failed entirely causing an unintended liaison between a 1m DLG and terra firma.

Jun 15, 2022 · I'm running 4 of KST X06 in a 1m DLG. Yesterday, one aileron servo died on launch. Happily, the aileron stuck near neutral and the model was recoverable. On the ground, I quickly discovered that the motor in the affected servo was running continuously. Later disassembly of the servo revealed the culprit: one of the compound gears had separated.

Dec 25, 2021 · X06 v6 uses a custom chip similar to the A08 v6, programmable and better accuracy than the regular X06's which in my experience centres to +/- 0.15mm (so 0.3mm total). I need more time on the X06 v6's to say how much better they are over time, but so far my tests are +/- 0.05mm (0.1mm total) on a control surface.

Jan 3, 2022 · KST X06 with FrSky GR6 (0 min 16 sec) Even with telemetry disabled on the GR6 and the receiver at a distance of 1m from the servo, there can still be a big 'bounce' in the servo centering and the occasional moment of totally uncommanded oscillation.
