Wu Ming 1, pseudonimo di Roberto Bui (Ostellato, 30 aprile 1970), è uno scrittore e traduttore italiano, membro del collettivo Wu Ming e del precedente collettivo Luther Blissett [1].

Wu Ming 1 is the author of New Thing (2004), an "unidentified narrative object" blending fiction, journalism and free verse. It is an allegorical tale on free jazz and the 1960s, set in 1967 New York City and constructed around John Coltrane's final days.

Wu Ming 1, pseudonym of Roberto Bui, is a member of the Wu Ming writers collective created in 2000. He has translated into Italian works by Elmore Leonard and Stephen King. Since 2014 he has managed the Quinto Tipo series of the Italian publisher Edizioni Alegre.
