The Über Tripods, also known as the Uberpods, are a type of large fighting-machines that only appears in the 2005 film adaptation of H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds. In terms of design, the Uberpods bear a striking resemblance to the standard Tripods.

May 2, 2022 · There are two confirmed tripods in the 05 film, many make up a third variant but there are only two. There is the normal Fighting machine with deployable tentacles and heat rays as well as attachable cages and there is the "uberpod" named by the production crew which has larger shields, 5 headlights, and are just generally bigger.
