May 7, 2005 · Is there anyone else that has a first hand experence with these C Boats. I have a older, wood (1971) version that is trailer sailed also. The masts on C scows are about 28 ft long. The wood ones are pretty heavy and it is a bit of work to step one with only 2 people.

Aug 23, 2009 · C Scow Restoration On Wednesday I picked up a 1983 Melges C Scow. I had found out that the boat had been sitting in the woods for about four years and served as a YMCA Camp boat for a few years prior. As you can see she was quite dirty (even when stored under a cover), however the boat seems sound except for a couple stringers and a bulkhead.
