Sep 27, 2011 · From my understanding, doing a wall shield like that will reduce clearances by 2/3. IE - instead of 16" clearance you would be fine with 5.28". I was planning on having my stove 8" from the wall using Imperial stove boards for wall protection spaced one inch out from the wall.
