Feb 13, 2025 · We have a bunch of domestic rabbits as well. Usually between 30-70 at any given time. We had to build another hutch, so out to the wood pile we went to get some wood for a hutch. We milled every piece. I was putting shakes on in the snow with the temp around zero. Now I have to carry it out to the rabbit yard.
What pest is making this fine, sawdust like powder on my woodpile?
Aug 20, 2023 · IME experience carpenter ants like hollow logs and will leave once the wood is dry. I used to torch them when i found during the splitting process. The only time ive found ants is when the stack isnt covered and they nest in a void or under loose bark.

So you might get 9 actual cords of wood from a tri-axle truckload of logs, or a pile of firewood, cut to 16-inch lengths, 4 feet high, 4 feet wide, and about 200 feet long.
