Feb 27, 2021 · Legendary Hong Kong actor Ng Man-tat, best known for co-starring alongside “king of comedy” Stephen Chow Sing-chi in many popular films, died on Saturday afternoon of liver cancer. He was 70.

Wong Man Tat had built a solid foundation in Western painting before he became a disciple of the Lingnan master Chao Shao-an. After retiring as a primary school principal, he taught painting in the Lingnan style to students throughout Hong Kong and Canada.

Feb 27, 2021 · Hong Kong veteran actor Ng Man-tat passed away on Saturday at the age of 70. Ng's friend Tin Kai-man told media that Ng was peaceful when he died as if he was asleep. Earlier morning on Saturday, the hospital issued a critical illness notice, and Ng's family and friends went to the hospital to see him for the last time.

A native of Fujian province, Ng Man-Tat was born in 1953. He started his career by joining the 3rd acting class organised by TVB in 1974. After graduation, Ng joined the famous variety show "Enjoy Yourself Tonight", and played supporting roles in a number of television series including "Chor Lau Heung" and "Police Cadet 84".
