Jan 26, 2016 · I can not format my external HDD from NTFS to exFAT on windows 10. All my drivers are updated and every time I start format it fails instantly. Anybody have any suggestions or know how to fix this? I was trying to use it for my ps4 so I can back up games and save data but I cant do that without it being in exFAT format. Please help?

I just realized I didn't mention that all of the options I'm seeing for how to partition the drive include downloading some kind of 3rd party software, with their websites coming up in Google, as if tech sites answering the question of "How do I partition exFAT hard drives?"

Only one of my 4 computers (of course its on my main computer) has only exFat options to format any USB or drive (of ANY drive and I have tried several *and would format in the other 3 computers*) The ONLY option that comes up is exFat and it never completes correctly - always fail.
