Jan 2, 2007 · I have some ideas just floating around. I was thinking is it possible to get 18 inch widened steelies? I PMed AWAKE to see what he thinks, but the largest I have ever seen is 17 inches. I was thinking about having flat black or semi flat centers and then polishing the lips and clearing the lips. Just throwing some ideas around.

Sep 5, 2008 · Im looking for any photos of steelies with chrome lips. I just bought the same ones posted above but my centers are not painted. So Im trying to find a color to go with my black car. I used to have all 16x8 but went with a smaller wheel for a taller tire. The bmw people dont run the widen steelies so I have to turn to the VW guys for the goods.

Mar 4, 2010 · Measure the diameter where it goes and you can compute the length of the sheet metal piece. The width is depending how much wider you want the rim, in the example 3". I used 14 gauge steel, but you'll have to measure the thickness of your own wheel, so it will hold up under the weight! Tack the now round sheet to the big part of the wheel.

Aug 2, 2011 · The picture shown has the steelie mounted in reverse (which definitely is possible and done on many customized steelies and looks great), but the offset on that would be retarded for an mkv, easily into +10 and well below with a 3" lip on a 8" wheel.
