Apr 10, 2020 · Cleaned thumb cache, tried other settings, upgraded windows and it's still not fixed. If you thought I was talking for the thumbnails, I'm talking about the icons. Like on small icons view, the little icons you see next to the files name. The photos app icon is inside a little blank white document icon.

Dec 21, 2024 · Yes, it's totally disgusting that they changed the favorite folder icons from yellow to the ugly black-and-white thingy. The yellow folders are (or now were?) actually one of the main reasons I'm using Edge. Incompetent wannabe UX "designers" strike again. Fun fact: No one, not a single user ever asked for this disgusting change.

Nov 26, 2013 · All the icons and thumbnails are displayed correctly. So then I go and open a file to view, or go back out of the folder and then go back in. Suddenly, all of the icons that originally appeared as the correct thumbnail or icon now appear as a blank white page. I tried rebuilding the icon cache and have had no success in solving the problem.

Sep 15, 2020 · The One Drive icon on the bottom right menu is crossed and disconected. I also can't open the command prompt, but all the other programs continue working. The only way I found to undo this is by restarting windows.

Oct 28, 2018 · A good example of this is Adobe Reader v9.2 the icon for this application is stored at: C:\Windows\Installer\{AC76BA86-7AD7-1033-7B44-A92000000001} If you delete this folder your PDF icon(s) will be gone and look like your screen shots.

Oct 24, 2024 · The problems is not with the icons for each site in favourites. I have the same problem. The problem is with the folders on the favourites bar; in my case at the top of the screen. For some reason they have suddenly lost the yellow colouring, which most other windows 11 folders have, and are now just white.

Dec 16, 2024 · Over the last few weeks my desktop icons for all sites where the Microsoft Edge logo. Then they changed to folders that are plain white. Link is still working. I went into CHANGE ICONS a couple times and changed them all back to the Microsoft Logo, but that only lasts a few days, then they change back.
