Whisk API returns nutrition per 100g in metric units. It's a standard adopted all over the world including USDA and KFDA. The response above means: There's 60 kCal and 3.2g of Fat in 100g of Milk. The cup of milk has volume of 240 ml or 8.11 fl oz. The cup of milk weights 2.448 times more than 100g of milk.

Glycemic Load combines the quantity and quality (GI) of carbohydrates providing a way to compare blood glucose values of different types and amounts of foods. Blood glucose levels rise and fall when you eat a meal containing carbohydrates. How high it rises and how long it stays high depends on GL.

Whisk does not perform mapping region or country to language. Client should select and pass language explicitly. Empty strings, zero values, empty arrays and null values are not returned due to GRPC nature of the API implementation.

An inside-out version of the method above. Allows to get products that accompany well a certain recipe. Flag products_only_from_foodlist makes it possible to filter out products a user does not have.
