The Wellesley ABC program provides academically talented and promising young women of color A Better Chance of educational preparedness through enrollment at Wellesley High School. Wellesley ABC is committed to increasing the number of well-educated women of color assuming positions of responsibility and leadership in American society.

Wellesley ABC is proud of its long history of providing exceptional secondary educational opportunities to academically talented young women of color and appreciates all that the Wellesley ABC volunteers, Wellesley Public Schools, Wellesley College and the Wellesley community as a whole do to support this vital work.

How To Apply 1st Step – You must initiate an application through the national A Better Chance organization. 2nd Step – Applications referred by National ABC to Wellesley ABC are thoroughly reviewed by the Selection Committee.

A Home Of Our Own capital campaign raised the funds to allow Wellesley A Better Chance to own its own future. For 48 years Wellesley College generously provided housing for our scholars.

Wellesley A Better Chance (ABC) celebrated 50 years of service to the Wellesley community in a joyous celebration held at the Wellesley Village Church on October 1, 2022.

During the pandemic she and her fiancé started a catering business. They we are able to creatively combine new spices and ingredients inspired by their culture and share them across the greater Boston region.
