Jul 25, 2022 · if you bring a gunblade you are using it for the gun, not the blade. the blade isn't effective compared to the gun and you would be better off using another melee if you like the blade part of gunblades. also heavy attacks guarantee that you use the gun part and they do a lot of damage also stances.

Aug 29, 2021 · The above have answered why the Vastilok is better than most, as Shattering Impact is based on unique damage instances which contain non-zero Impact damage (this is why the Redeemer is useless at Shattering, as it has pure base Blast on shots and no Impact) and the gunblades poke more damage instances per 'swing'(/shot).
