Jun 22, 2016 · Walmart probably buys and sells more engine oil than Autozone + AAP or AAP + O'Reilly and so on combined which means they can dictate lower purchase pricing from the oil manufacturers and pass it on to us. Walmart has volume sales and lower prices so they can get away with less mark-up than the auto parts stores for the same item.

May 27, 2013 · I only use Mobile 1 in my cars. I'm wondering what the difference in Mobile 1 and Wal-Mart oil is. The wal-mart oil has the approval seal on the bottle so is it the same as Mobile 1? No: Mobil1 is much better, higher quality and therefore more expensive. Kind of like the difference between a Chevy and a Cadillac.

Super Tech has no choice but to buy the add pack from them. Therefore, it has no choice but to be of the same quality as any other oil brand, major or not. The second item to consider is the base oil.

Feb 22, 2019 · Walmart advertises Walmart and when you’re there (because of the advertisement) you buy motor oil along with all the other things you buy at Walmart. It’s just a little disingenuous to say that these other companies have “bloated” advertising costs on their products but Walmart can sell for less because they do not.

Jan 17, 2011 · All motor oil must meet goverment specs. If you read label it says meets or exceeds all goverment standards plus. People at wallmart says it made by mobil 1. Really doesent matter so much as meeting Gov requirements and is Certified. My neighbor bought a new $60,000 Truck Van for his company all he uses is Walmart SuperTech Full Synthetic.
