Jan 17, 2006 · An opened up, YZ timed WR426 will provide plenty of entertainment and they're reasonably priced. They're fast, reliable and have great suspension. The only thing you really need to do is get a YZ seat /tank setup and there are large capacity YZ tanks. It improves handling a ton. Stay away from the 03' WR450 even if you get a screaming deal.
WR426 Good or Bad? - Adventure Rider
May 22, 2013 · One of the best starting bikes I've owned. My favorite thing about the WR426 is the steel frame. I absolutely love this gen chassis over the aluminum frame. May 23, 2007 · Just bought my 98YZ400F and I am having a ball with it. If you weight 130lbs and are 5'6" then it may not be the best choice:eek: The 02 wr426 is bulletproof! Not recomended for the track but if you ride trails, hair scrambles etc it's a great bike. It is kick start but if you do the 03 YZ ex cam mod it kicks over like a 2 stroke.
