Dec 11, 2024 · For me the solution was to set the NAS power/sleep settings to "never". Since I've done that I have not had any issues. Without going into the nitty gritty, windows looses the credentials for some reason when my WD NAS went to sleep. It's strange because I have two WD NAS units and only the MyCloud EX2 Ultra had this issue. Try turning off "sleep".

Nov 11, 2020 · When you setup your WD NAS did you create and account. Can you access the NAS using its default IP address and check the account details. If there is a user name account you may be able to reset the password for that account.

Jan 25, 2015 · Same here with WD MyCloud EX2. My Workaround: Network Settings menu, Windows Services: Max SMB Protocol set to SMB1 ( Default SMB2 )- that fixed it for me. Not sure if the WD MyCloud Mirror offers the same menu/settings options.

Jan 6, 2019 · I'm trying to connect via explorer in Windows 10 to my WD NAS. It does not work with explorer although I'm setting the appropriate credentials (Username of NAS etc.). With the good old "Net use Z. \\....") it works perfect. So where do I have to look to make it work also in Windows 10 explorer (With Windows 7 it works of course also seamless).
