Feb 9, 2011 · I too was considering the purchase of a W211 or W210 last year. I finally purchased a low mileage 2002 W210 E55 (33K on the clock). It was a one owner car - originally purchased new by a 75 year old car enthusiast who lived in Los Angeles.

It's a W211 E55 motor, not the W210. I am not going to wait a couple of years to get the E55, where I live it's too expensive, I got my E500 for a good price and this engine for a good price.

With the pre-facelift models, there's going to be a lot you want to look at. In all honesty, if you can spring for it, go for a later model. Much more refined.
