Jan 6, 2012 · All the CD changers in the W209's connect via fiber optic. The difference is that beginning with MY2005, the switched from D2B to MOST. This car, being a 2003 model, will have D2B, so it needs a D2B changer. Also, the fiber optic system must remain in a complete loop.
