A commodore V6 won't beat anything worth it's salt until you put forged internals in it and force 20psi+ through it. But I can tell you my VY Berlina keeps up almost identically to any stock BA XR6.

Jul 27, 2012 · Rides better, Handles better and the turbo is is definitely quicker than the VY. If I bought one all I would do to it is some suspension work (Spings, shocks, Maybe sway bars) and I could take it on track days as well.

Jun 28, 2008 · My mate has an xr6 turbo (auto)... when my vy ss (manual) was stock i took him in a ride and he reckons his xr6t had the slightest edge. I have since had a tune and full exhaust, and i reckon it would clean up a stock xr6t.
