Jan 8, 2020 · I have a working theory that the issue isn't the VVEL module or relays at all but is in fact the IPDM module supplying inconsistent power to the VVEL module and destroying the components. Im going to go over my IPDM with a multimeter if replacing the relays and VVEL module again (+ better waterproofing) doesnt work.

Jul 27, 2009 · The VQ37 VVEL most definately has an intake camshaft, and a throttle plate that works like any other car. Now, like most newer cars, the TB is of the drive by wire type, with no physical cable connecting the accel pedal to the TB. The VVEL mechanism is on a jack screw, that adjustes lift within a defined area of sweep using a small motor.

Jul 27, 2020 · So even though I toned out the vvel position sensor wires to the vvel ecu pins and got 0 ohms, it appears that pin 5 on the sensor (white wire) which is a ground has a break somewhere. I dunno how it toned to 0 ohms last time but toning it out to the engine grounds yielded infinit resistance on my multimeter where as pin 2 which is also a ...

Nov 11, 2021 · Anyway, the VVEL control shaft position sensor is integral to the VVEL Actuator assembly which is replaceable and not part of the VVEL mechanicals under the rocker covers. The service manual outlines procedure for replacing the actuator assembly and Nissan sells them in the parts department. They are around $600 from Nissan parts stores online.

Apr 5, 2014 · This is a pic of the VVEL assembly section with the solenoid removed, dont do that, LOL! It will just make your life easier. This is the VVEL assembly internally, there are two allen/star bolts that connect to the VVEL cam that will need to be removed to get the entire assembly off the back of the head. Cam caps, keep track!

Oct 7, 2021 · I checked the VVEL Control Shaft Position Sensor voltage with Cipher and was getting a voltage reading of 648 for both banks. Following the instructions in the manual, I loosened the mounting bolts and adjusted the VVEL Control Shaft Position Sensors to a voltage of 499-504 using Cipher as the tool to visually adjust the voltage.
