Nov 7, 2016 · I picked up a 2000 VN800 about 2 weeks ago. I've started the bobber conversion. Doesn't looks like a lot has changed but another 2-3 weeks and it should have most of the changes done except paint. So far i've installed new forward controls and lowered the bike 3 inches with the Scootworks kit.

This is the start of my 1999 800 classic bobber. Got a lot of work still to do. So far, I have mounted the BCB rear fender and BobberCycles seat and mount. Still need to relocate the Thermostat and wiring that was under the tank and grind off all of the unused brackets from the frame. The tank is just sitting there for the pics.

Nov 2, 2016 · New Vulcan 900's have a shorter kick stand than the older 800's and the touring models are even shorter. I just picked up a shorter kick stand off a 2006-later 1500-1600 model. Hopefully that helps with the lean while on the kick stand and scrapping on hard left turns.

Jun 7, 2013 · This is was "new" 1996 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 Classic (VN800B) in stock form. This is big ole swoopy thing is what I got for my for hard earned $2,000. The Miami-Dolphins-Teal burned this Bostonian's eyes, but it was mechanically sound, which was really what I was looking for - since it wasn't going to look this way for long.
