What is a double lumen port? An implanted double lumen or Vortex® Port is a special device that is placed under your skin. It consists of a thin, flexible tube placed in a large vein, connected to a double chamber or ‘port’ implanted under the skin. The double chamber measures about 4cm long, 2cm wide and 1cm deep.
