Jul 30, 2011 · I have a 99 Silverado 4×4 made in Canada my buddy has a 99 also made in Canada my truck has body lift torction bars, my engine has the rectangle plastic with vortec running down center and 3 or 4 lines runnin front to back it has 2 bolts one in front and one in bk that screws it down to intake, not t mention my plastic barley fits due to firewall and an intake about 6 or so inches high, But ...

Oct 9, 2006 · I have a 6.0 vortec 6000 out of a yukon that i belive will fit into my 80 K5. The question i have is if i do that will my turbo 350 stand up to the 400 hp motor. I found that they will meet up and i have to shave teh engine cross member but then it jusy drops in. Has anyone else had experiance...

Mar 24, 2004 · Vortec 6000 with 4.10's & 4L80E gets ~15-16 empty on the interstate - stock 31" rubber & the truck weighs 5,605 empty. About 13 around town empty. My truck turns 2,500 RPM at 75 MPH in overdrive. I get 10 towing at 70-75 MPH at sea level. TEX

May 7, 2006 · 6.0 vs 8.1 my uncle tows with 6.0 regulary says it tows much better than his old 5.7, got a friend who regulary tows 17,000 lbs plus with his goose neck 8.1 and it has all kinds of power to spare very strong if your just doing on rig id say 6.0 and if your going to do a goose neck and bigger loads id say 8.1, of course i use 6.6 dmax and i love it
