Aug 27, 2022 · Crew came in monday and it had dropped oil and coolant everywhere and run till seizure. Unable to find a 4 cyl volvo motor to put in he sourced a relatively recently rebuilt 6 cyl volvo motor from an L90 that was the eventual upgrade the L70 got later in its production.

Mar 24, 2013 · I've got an L70 (around 1990) I think. She's a great loader. I've also got a Volvo LM846 (had her since new in 1978). I've also just sold a Volvo 622. Granted the machines are old, but I'm Volvo all the way. Very rarely I have problems with them. I've had the L70 for about 3 years now. She'd been well looked after.

Feb 23, 2023 · My old L70 (Volvo / Michigan) won't start. It was fine yesterday when I parked her up, but this morning, it wouldn't turn over. Both batteries OK so I tried jumping from the power lead on the starter to the solenoid but still nothing. Assumed starter motor failed. Took the starter off ready to send away for repair.
