Jun 19, 2022 · Having Ippo totally steamroll Volg without being an active fighter would be an insult to Volg and make the rest of the series boring. The only thing I find weird is the fact that it was supposed to be masu-boxing, and Volg must be aware of Ippo's circumstances. Having him punch Ippo full-on is... well, questionable, ethically.

Feb 12, 2023 · As for Ippo pushing Volg to the corner, that only happened because Volg hesitated after the uppercut. Volg easily landed more punchs and was more dominant at the ending, my only doubt is how (if) he would be able to deal with the diagonal dempsey.

Feb 23, 2019 · Volg legitimately lost against Ippo, had his share of trouble against Sendo and got countered by Elliot. Ricardo fought against Date in jesus form and came out unscratched. It's not that Volg isn't good, is just that Ricardo is too OP. Kamogawa said that Volg was not using his true style, which is a text book intelligent style.

Apr 7, 2018 · Ippo Saying goodbye to Volg came up on my rewatch and my eyes welled up. What a great OST! I love the series for its characters heartfelt moments away from the fighting. What are your favourites? For me this is closely followed by The Umezawa redemption arc, Ippo's mum in general and Sendo being touched by Takamura in the shower.

Aug 10, 2022 · Hold on sendo vs Volg chapter 1386. Volg said he was going for real and ippo neautralized his best punch. Sendo tried to make the weight control excuse which Volg countered with, but ippo has been on a hiatus.. which I think cancel each other out. Volg then conceded that everything flowed so well with ippo that he couldn't keep up.

But when i look at his fight record on the HnI wiki, it turns into question marks after his 2nd loss in Japan, making him 3-2. We don't know how many times he's fought in America to rise to the Number 1 Challenger spot either.

May 19, 2022 · Volg also had interesting moments with Ippo’s mom and maybe has a better understanding of why Ippo is so concerned for her. Anyways, if you guys think of something more concrete throw it on here. Getting way to hyped from the last few chapters hahaha.
