After the Paris Motor Show, two roadsters were built on a shortened and underslung version of the Aérodyne chassis known as the C27. The second of these was chassis 52002, a streamlined and pontoon-fended masterpiece called the Aérosport.

Mullin found the rare engine hidden away in Argentina, exchanged it for the Type C27, and completed a second comprehensive restoration to its current specifications. Chassis 52001 was manufactured in September 1934 and bodied by Joseph Figoni as a yellow and black roadster in December 1934.

Sep 8, 2021 · After the expo, two roadsters were built on shortened Aérodyne chassis, which became known as the C27. Powered by a 3.0-litre straight-six engine, it was good for 105bhp. However, it is the glorious Art Deco styling that captivates the heart.

This Voisin C27 Aerosport Coupe has factory coachwork and was on display at the 1935 Geneva Motorshow. Its first owner was Andre Noël-Noël Telmont (Voisin's design partner) who kept the car for over ten years before it passed through several other owners.

One day he acquired an ailing Voisin that had received a second body. Removing the body, he discovered the distinct underslung chassis and remnants of the C27 Aérosport.

Voisin introduced their twelve- and six-cylinder engine just prior to the start of The Depression. The luxury car segment was devastated; those pool of individuals who could afford to buy a high-priced vehicle dwindled, and competition became very fierce.

The Aerodyne C27 was a very aerodynamic vehicle. It resembled a tear-drop, much like other cars produced by manufacturers such as Delahaye, Bugatti, and Delage.
