Voile Ultravector BC - Backcountry Talk
Jan 18, 2021 · I also do a good bit of yo-yo skiing and alternate between the Voile Vector BC with the OG gold hardwires and the Madshus Annum with 3p hardwires, both with the Garmont Excursion. The Vector is more of a shuffle tour style via keeping low engagement tension on the binding, very good traction up to 15 deg.
Voile Endeavor - Backcountry Talk
May 3, 2023 · I would like the endeavor but I am 6ft 3 and about 200. Too short at 178 but still want to try it. However it depends on how stiff the skis are. I did talk with Voile and they don’t plan on offering a longer length. So I guess I will get the Voile Transit and mount it up on my Ultra Vectors this fall. Excited to ditch my Lynx. 😀
Any thoughts on the Voile Objective? - Backcountry Talk
Dec 28, 2020 · But, to echo jtb, it would be nice if Voile offered a BC-base ski that was just a little wider/stouter than the Objective (117-84-102 in 178cm, 1135g) but not as big as the Vector or V6 lines. I have enjoyed my Scott Superguide 88 (125-88-110 in 178cm, 1340g) in pretty much every condition imaginable, and though I don't live in place where the ...
New Voile SR BC Skimo Ski - Backcountry Talk
Dec 15, 2023 · The aim of XCD for most folks is to find untracked snow for sweet turns, and skis that are 161cm 93-63-79 won't give the float you'd want for that. I've done it plenty on Atomic & Movement skis that size, and it pretty much means just standing on the tails the whole way down, like a waterski start.
New Voile Ski! Manti - Backcountry Talk
Aug 27, 2020 · Voile has made very good skis for a long time. The website discription is a little over the top, but I bet it's a good ski. The idea of a stiffer tail and less tail rocker is something I've found to be a quality I preferred since I skied my first "tail rockered" ski.
Binding mounting position question - Backcountry Talk
Nov 9, 2021 · I don't think there's consensus. IMO, for Voile skis, their recommendations for boot center are perfect. There are other brands where I move my mount back 2 cm because their recommendation consistently feels more forward than I prefer. But, I will always start with the suggested mount point and go from there. AT/tele makes no difference to me.
New Voile Ski! Manti - Backcountry Talk
Aug 28, 2020 · The Vector series is 130-96-114 in a 177cm. The only narrower skis are the Objective (117-84-102 in 178cm) and the skimo skis, and neither is suitable as a lift-serve daily driver, nor for telemark bindings. I would love to see something in the 125-88-107 range.
Voile V6 BC vs Ultravector BC - Backcountry Talk
Translation: it skis pretty much all conditions well, without requiring much work from you. Voile achieves this balance by combining its lightweight carbon-reinforced aspen core with long tip rocker. That plus some camber underfoot and a slightly rockered tail …
Voile UltraVector with Switchback Surplus Order - Order Today!
Jan 29, 2024 · Hey folks, you might've seen the thread about the pallets of skis. I'm considering putting in a bid for this pallet of 25 pairs of Voile UltraVector BCs mounted with Switchbacks. Unclear what sizes are there, but likely 171, 177, or 184, or some mix.
Voile Hyper Vector BC - Backcountry Talk
Voile skis are really BC skis and are not really design to pound out resort runs day in and day out. I have literally skied every scaled based version they have made with the exception of these new Hyper's but I own 4 different palownia skis currently and …
