Vihren Hut is found in Pirin mountain, it was built in 1939-1941 by the Bulgarian Tourist Union of Bansko at an altitude of 6396 ft (1950 m) above sea level on the left side of the rocky shore of Bunderitsa River. Initially, the hut was called El Tepe, the old name of Vihren Peak.

This beautiful route starting from Vihren Hut (1950 m), belowe eastern slopes of Vihren (2914 m) massif. Path continue in direction to Hvoinato Ezero. During this part of path you can enjoy in beautifully meadows and sounds and outlook of small mountain rivers.

Vihren Hut It is located on the left coast of Banderitsa river, at 1950m above the sea level. It is a complex of two solid two-floor buildings and bungalows with total capacity of 196 beds.

Vihren peak as highest in Pirin massif is an enormous piramidal rock formation with his altitude of 2914 m third on Balkans, ma favourute. You can climb it without winter equipment from june till october. It is accesible from Vihren hut 1850m, via mark trail and average climber needs some three hour to gain that vertical kilometer.

If you decide to descend to the Vihren hut and you are not too tired yet, you can spend some time visiting the Baikusheva Mura , which is only 200 meters away from the place.
