In short, despite the high pressure from Razor Leaf, I think Victreebel with Magical Leaf may actually be better. In 1shield it picks up stuff like Annihilape, Medicham, Umbreon, AND the mirror, with shields down it drops Carbink and Medicham but gains Anni, Poliwrath, Azu, Dewgong, Umbreon, Charjabug, and again the mirror.

You might want to think about teaching it Sunny Day to take advantage of Chlorophyll and Solarbeam, patching up speed and giving you a powerful STAB move to launch.

Pretty straightforward Growth boosting set. +2 Atk, +2 SpA, and +2 Spe is nothing to scoff at, and Victreebel has the stats and moves to really take advantage of it. Under the sun, this set is unresisted by anything except for Heatran and Dragalge.

In fact, Victreebel wrecks anything ground typing, especially ground/waters. However, it has no recourse to Skarmory and Altaria, Melmetal, Registeel, and other flying and/or steel types.

Poison and Fire have enough differences that it’s still worth running Dual STAB on Salazzle, but it makes running a choice set easier. Furthermore, if given to Victreebel - one of the few Pokémon that thematically COULD get Corrosion - it hugely increases its viability.

Feb 11, 2019 · Mega-Victreebel will probably not see very much play in the higher tiers. It is certainly not OU, as Mega-Venasaur is surely the king of grass/poison types. The fantastically useful Strength Sap on a pokemon with decent stats may see it reach RU or UU and serve time as a threat to physical attackers.

I do remember that Victreebel can learn Growth via move remembering in BDSP and LGPE. IDK if you can transfer SV pokemon to these game though, I don't use pokemon home. I also DK if the move will be wiped when tranfered back.
