The Véhicule Blindé Multi-Rôle Griffon ( English: Multirole Armoured Vehicle Griffon) or VBMR Griffon is a French six-wheel multi-purpose armoured personnel carrier developed and manufactured by KNDS France (formerly Nexter Systems), Arquus (formerly Renault Trucks Defense) and Thales.

The new-generation Griffon 6×6 multi-role armoured vehicles (VBMR) are being acquired by the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA) to replace the ageing fleet of Véhicule de l’Avant Blindé (VAB) 4×4 armoured personnel carriers, which have been operational with the French Army since 1976.

Fitted with a 400 HP engine coupled to an automatic gearbox, independent running gears and 6-wheel drive, the GRIFFON allows a great tactical mobility. With a GVW of 24.5 tons, it can reach a speed of 90 km/h and has excellent crossing capacities on any ground.

Remote Weapon System that can be fitted with 7.62mm Machine Gun, 12.7mm Heavy MG or 40mm Automatic Grenade Launcher. There is also a provision for mounting the Missile Moyenne Portée (MMP) Anti-Tank Guided Missile System.
