Dec 9, 2010 · The safety on the Vz 58 is a slight improvement over the AK. One does not completely have to break grip to manipulate it. It does seem to be on the wrong side of the frame, and work backwards to me The fact that the bolt locks back on an empty mag, and stays locked back for the mag change is big plus of this weapon over an AK to me....

Jul 2, 2009 · Fineally got my letter from the ATF, and I am replacing the muzzle extention on my D-Technic Vz. 58 with one of the muzzle brakes, and found that the extention is very solidly plug welded on in two places, requiring grinding and now chasing the threads on the muzzle before the new brake will go on.
