May 26, 2016 · Excellent 1989 Mexican "Combi" T-2 Baywindow Watercooled VW Bus. Rare model in the US, not a modification. 1.8L motor. Less than 100K miles. Great mechanical condition. Lots of speed and power, perfect for every day rides and highway trips. All original parts except radiator, changed in 2015. Original white paint, blue was painted in 2011.

Jan 30, 2017 · We've met a very nice German couple and have started travelling together, but they're having issues with their super sweet VW. It is a 1997 Brazilian made, Mexican, bay-window panel van. It has a 1.8L 4cyl, SOHC, water cooled engine and I'm pretty sure they've blown a head gasket.

Jul 26, 2004 · I think it might be more worthwhile to swap the VW engine out for a Watercooled Subaru. Going to aircooled means sacricing power, heating, and doing fairly extensive modification to the van. Going Subaru would keep it watercooled, but would provide a dramatic performance increase while offering all the conveniences the VW motor had.
