Mines a 2014 R with DSG, mild stage 1 tune, 69k, it's been extremely reliable since I bought it in April 2023. Only issue I've had which isn't engine related is that when it's really cold the interior has alot of condensation on the interior glass, so much so it ice's up on the inside! Been told there might be an ingress of water somewhere.

Apr 6, 2021 · Videos and pictures from the Chicago auto show this past July show the 2022 R with the stock chrome exhaust tips. I also read somewhere (can't find the link) that VW is trying to get the Akrapovic exhaust cleared by US regulators before bring the option here.

Apr 11, 2021 · I spoke to three different large VW dealerships in June looking for a leftover and they all said when the 0% financing was expanded to Golf R's they all sold out within 2-3 days pretty much nationally unless they were absurdly priced (like $5k over MSRP).
