Jan 6, 2024 · Yes, it’s a general issue. Now, if you open the “Add Instrument” window, and you go to the bottom of it, you may notice the white scroll bar there. If you move it, the vst3 dots are visible. Come on Steinberg, bring back this little symbol on the VST3 plugins. I want to know in my projects which one of these two formats I’m using.

Feb 25, 2025 · I've generated all icons manually by right-clicking the three dots in the upper left corner of the plugin window > Utilities > Create plug-in icon. Could you ask the LUNA team if they can include an option in the Plugin Manager menu to auto-create plug-in icons?

Dec 28, 2023 · Greg Ondo provided a workaround : When selecting a plug-in, hold down the mouse button and move the mouse to the right. The list of plugs moves to the left and the 3 slashes appear.

Apr 4, 2014 · VST3 plug-ins will be sorted automatically according to their respective categories. VST2 plug-ins ("..... x64") can be sorted manually (e.g. inside a folder "Vienna Suite", or manually in the "Dynamics", "EQ" etc. sub-folders of your VST folder).

VST2 and VST3 are simply different versions of VST. Many additional features were introduced in the VST version 3 (VST3) and these plug-ins are now supported by most hosts and DAWs.
