Ventricular septal defects (VSDs) are the most common congenital heart defects (CHDs), surpassed only by the bicuspid aortic valve, and accounts for 20 to 25% of all CHDs [1, 2, 3]. The CHDs themselves are present in 0.8% of live births [1].
