The preview image on VRV for a show is bigger (at least twice as big) and is a preview for the specific episode I’m on rather than the same cover art every single time. The VRV preview also has a nice little bar with how far I am in an episode which I can only see on Crunchy in that intermediate page between watchlist and the episode.

Dec 14, 2021 · I mean hidive was on there for like 1 or 2 years and they're owned by AMC. My point being that vrv was doomed to lose many of the channels on there if crunchyroll didn't plan on growing by themselves. Im hoping sony will revive vrv and bring their anime streaming rights under that umbrella.

Aug 10, 2021 · Cancel your Crunchyroll Premium plan. Account linking will share Premium status across both services automatically. However, my confusion comes from the fact that I do NOT have a Crunchyroll account, nor have I ever had one in the past. And the only memberships that it's showing is a VRV Premium membership, no Crunchyroll membership.

Feb 8, 2022 · VRV premium still works for me even though I switched my ATT wireless plan to the Unlimited Elite plan about 7 to 8 months ago. My plan offers ad-free HBO Max for as long as I am a customer. It looks like I'm grandfathered into free VRV premium until the app is done for or until Sony figures out what's going on. I consider myself fortunate.

Nov 25, 2022 · Back in 2016, VRV was created by Crunchyroll to get a wider audience to enjoy anime. Thanks to its good looks and great shows, it did just that. But with the overhaul of Crunchyroll’s site, features, and quality, we’ve decided to shut VRV down. Now, we know this sucks. But chin up. Lots of what you love about VRV is also on Crunchyroll.

Sep 19, 2021 · I get mine through crunchy roll. But I’m thinking of dialing back my subscription plan since I don’t use VRV and had to get hidive separate now (although $48/yr wasn’t terrible). The only downside is the hidive app sucks. I imagine most people used it through VRV previously.
