Visual Positioning System - J.MARPLE
V-GPS enables a drone to find out its position and orientation by means of a camera. The system uses real-time images captured by the cameras installed under the drone and compares them with satellite map data to provide accurate positioning data comparable to GPS.
THESEUS — Micro VPS Technology
Theseus' Micro VPS solves the key challenge preventing drones from operating reliably in contested environments. Our Visual Positioning System (VPS) uses cameras, an inertial measurement unit, and pre-loaded satellite imagery to determine it's position and send a simulated GPS signal to any drone.
See the world - Vermeer
Our software, in real-time, compares the video feed from our VPS Payload with pre-mapped 3D terrain stored locally for unparalleled navigation capabilities. Our system uses up to 4 EO/IR camera feeds. Compared to other solutions that only use 1 camera, the use of multiple cameras offers a more reliable, accurate position.
