Nov 21, 2010 · I asked what the test shows and Dr. Brackmann said it indicates which balance nerve is involved. You have a superior and inferior nerve on both sides. Because my VNG test was normal, this indicates the tumor I have is most likely on the inferior nerve. I guess if your test is abnormal, then the tumor is most likely on the superior nerve.
Anyone skilled at VNG test results? Won't hold you to it...
Apr 24, 2016 · Had the VNG testing and no inner ear problems and then had balance testing which came back telling me that my good side balance nerve was non-responsive. I of course have since had 2 MRIs making sure nothing is growing over there.

Apr 22, 2010 · Can anyone give me some information about a VNG test. I have heard they last about 2 hours and can make you very dizzy. I have been had some vertigo attacks and I am concerned that this test may cause one. Any information would be great. TJ

Jun 21, 2006 · I had a VNG test done (where they squirt that cold & warm water in your ear), and they determined that my inner ear "was deader than a doorknob", so now feel I just need to do more & more of whatever makes me dizzy, to get the other side of my brain to "recalibrate" & take over for the tumor side!

Sep 28, 2016 · Could you mean ABR test? If so, it is a fairly simple process. I forget exactly how they did mine, but it was just an add-on to the standard hearing tests. It was not a surgical process, it was a process of hooking up electrical leads in a few places and then sending s series of tones through your occipital bone.

Feb 17, 2008 · Dr. d***ens also said we could choose GK, FRS or Surgery. Dr. d***ens disagreed with the radiologist's assesment regarding the size of the tumor (he said it was a little smaller). He also said the tumor was only about 2 MM into the intracanicular [sic] opening. The VNG test she had on Monday showed no adverse affects.
