The P pump is engine oil lube'd and is generally considered a multifuel pump that will run on everything from dry jet A, kerosene, b100, to ULSD without issue.

Aug 20, 2009 · Well hopefully I like a VE pump because a good deal just popped up on one, I am trying to get it lined up so we shall see. I see a lot on the net claiming for simplicity and reliable power, the VE pump has better starting, better mileage and the dynamic timing. I may try it out. I appreciate the help! Dec 26, 2007 · I've since purchased another brand "performance" power steering pump and it whines even worse than the PSC! Apparently the problem lies somewhere in my system and not the pumps. With this new pump I have gone to GREAT lengths to modify my entire system to provide optimal conditions.

Dec 1, 2014 · It's a Zexel ve pump. There aren't too many folks that know how to modify them but they are very similar to the Bosch pump. You can turn the pump up to a point, which sounds like is already done, but your limited due to the to the runaway issue. There is VW guy in Canada that claims he can modify the pump for about $1k.
